If you have already configured your mobile controls using the unreal engine’s integrated system (Touch Interface Setup) and you now want to use Touch Interface Designer, you can convert a Touch Interface Setup asset by right-clicking on this asset and then selecting Convert.

The conversion window opens and shows you a preview of the conversion to a Virtual Control Setup asset.

You can modify the conversion parameters which will affect the preview in real time.

Parameters
- Keep Image : this parameter allows you during the conversion to keep the images that you had selected for your buttons and joysticks. If you disable this setting, then the conversion tool will use the default images.
- Is In Landscape : this parameter allows you to indicate to the conversion tool that your interface has been designed to be displayed mainly in portrait mode. In a future update, the preview will support this change
- Touch Interface Resolution : you may have designed your interface with controls whose position is absolute. Virtual Control Designer uses relative screen position for the position of virtual controls. This parameter allows you to define the reference resolution for the conversion
- Delete After Conversion : this setting speaks for itself. If selected, your interface once converted will be deleted if and only if no reference to your interface has been found (safe delete)
